Attention
Students & Parents!
FestivALL
Charleston, the Kanawha
Kordsmen and Almost Heaven Chorus invite all young singers to sing
four-part
harmony in an ensemble that will open for International
Champion quartets Max Q and Maxx Factor at the Capitol Theater, Friday, June 26. This
event is made possible
with the support of Bayer CropScience, Institute, WV.
Designed
for those entering grades six
through college, this activity requires only that you can
carry a tune, are
willing to work hard in preparation for the workshop, can attend the
entire
day's intensive instruction and be available to sing that night.
This
Youth In Harmony event is produced
and directed by Ted Rose, chorus director and
quartet baritone. Rose
holds a BFA in Music Composition from Marshall University, with voice
(baritone
and counter-tenor) as his principal instrument. Additional instructors
include Manny
Lopez, director of the San Antonio Chordsmen, TX, District
Competition gold
medalists. Lopez is currently a singing judge candidate with the
Barbershop
Harmony Society and plays a central role in the Youth In Harmony
program
throughout Texas.
