SOMETHING NEW FOR VALENTINE’S DAY FROM THE KANAWHA KORDSMEN
Are you looking for a new way to deliver Valentine’s greetings
to your sweetheart? Do you have a spirit of adventure? If so, the
Kanawha Kordsmen have a new opportunity that is designed just for
you. You can join with a Kordsman quartet and sing a pair of love songs to your sweetheart on
Valentine’s Day in 2012.
The
Kanawha Kordsmen have had quartets deliver Singing Valentines
throughout the Kanawha Valley for nearly 20 years and will offer the
traditional service once again in 2012. A quartet will perform two love
songs and give a flower, candy and a card with your valentine’s wish.
We will deliver the Valentine to a person’s workplace, home, or to a
restaurant or other public place. These valentines cost $55 and can be
ordered by calling 304-346-SING or a www.kordsmen .org.
But the
truly adventurous can visit the Kordsmen rehearsals on Monday nights,
January 30 or February 6 to learn two valentine songs and then purchase
a valentine which will be scheduled at a time and place that allows
them to sing with the quartet. The Kordsmen rehearse at Columbia Gas
Auditorium on MacCorkle Avenue at 7:15 P.M. every Monday night.
The
Kanawha Kordsmen are the Charleston affiliate of the Barbershop Harmony
Society. We sing a variety of music a capella (without instruments) in
the barbershop style in quartets and in a 30
man chorus. Visitors are always welcome at our Monday night rehearsals.
